This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! To think that the very first Scenicruiser off the production line (VIN: PD 4501 001), a bus always owned by Greyhound Lines, Inc. is being offered for sale is, well...quite amazing! This is questionably the very bus that most people think of when you say the word "BUS". This bus has been completely restored from the ground up, including drivetrain, with all original GM parts and is true to it's origin. "001" runs well and drives well. It needs nothing. There will NEVER be another bus sold that has the pedigree and importance of this one!
This is a super rare coach, and the one that really put Greyhound on the map! Air filled tires, more comfortable that most living rooms back then, plenty of luggage space and faster travel speeds. This Mack was an integral piece in Greyhound's 100 year anniversary and their Historical Parade across America in 2014. This Mack Parlor Coach underwent an extensive ground-up restoration and has continued to be well maintained ever since. It drives well and is in museum-like condition.
This is your opportunity to own one of the rarest pieces of automotive history! One of 12 every built, Number 7 was purchased and completly rebuilt. It runs and drives perfectly and everything works as it should - including the side doors and light pod. It comes with the original engine & transmission but the vehicle has a Detroit Diesel 4-71 with an Allison automatic transmission for better drive-ability. To say this vehicle is unique is an understatement. It was built by GM as part of their “Parade of Progress” in 1939. We have documentation of the restoration process and some spare parts as well. Please contact us for much more information.
Extremely rare coach! This was completely restored and is in museum-like condition. It was used by Greyhound for their famous 100-year Anniversary Tour Across America event in 2014. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of transportation history. This coach runs and drives fine.
