2002 Freightliner FB65

2004 Champion Bus Conversion on Freightliner FB65 5.9L L6 DIESEL. Vehicle was titled new to the City of Bettendorf in June 2004 as a 2004 model by the bus manufacturer. VIN search of chassis produces results as a 2002. As with any custom vehicle chassis is produced before the bus.

Bus was used by our City Transit/Bus Service for the first part of its life. Approximately 12 years ago it was converted for use by the police department as a command center/equipment hauler. Has a DC to AC power converter that will stay installed. Bench seats raise up for additional storage. See photos for more details on interior conversion. Has minimal exterior LED emergency lights and siren installed (if purchaser is not a government entity these items will be removed prior to purchaser taking possession-may leave small holes in body panels where wiring was). Everything else pictured stays with the bus.

Was just removed from Police Department service last week. Engine starts, transmission shifts seems to drive down the road just fine. Has been garaged whenever it is not actively in use. Has been maintained and repaired by our city garage for its whole life. Note minor body damage on rear corners. Vehicle is being sold as is with no warranty.

Has water leak in window above drivers seat. Sometimes the rear air conditioner leaks water along the inside back wall - typically just a cleared drain hose. AC worked last summer, has not been used this year. Heat inside works.
