Eagle Model 10S
This coach is a 1983 Silver Eagle Model 10 Suburban, 40 foot, two axle, 96" wide with 46 reclining standard National seats.
It is powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA and a mechanical shift Allison HT740.
It is restroom equipped and has three monitors mounted under the swing in, closeable overhead luggage racks.
Interior is in good condition for its age, although the seats would need a more modern coloring and freshen up, as with the
handful of repairs to recliner mechanisms.
Dash area is generally good with all standard gauges and switches operational, but being outside for some time, does show signs of fading.
Exterior is in very good condition, with no panel damage, scuffs. Aluminum wheel arches are in top condition, as are all stainless bars.
Some weathering is evident on roof and headers for being parked outside.
General, all framework is good. Just some rusting of framing below drivers window and uprights between bin doors at the bottom.
All main structures are in very good condition, including battery compartment.
Torsilastics are at a good height with plenty of adjustment.
Engine starts first time with no smoke and transmission change is faultless. No obvious leaks are evident.
Being a 10S it is fitted with a larger than normal A/C system, due to being two axle, and would handle the hottest days, and the stop/start urban work, or the long charters through a variety of climates.
It has only ever been a charter vehicle, firstly owned by Armador Stage Lines in Sacramento, CA and then by Southern Charter in Trussville,AL.
It has full service history by both owners.
